Absolutely. Our focus on value doesn't mean we ever compromise on quality. U-GO fuels are formulated to deliver efficiency and performance in your vehicle. And you can enjoy extra confidence knowing that all our fuels meet the requirements of the Australian Fuel Quality Standards.
Yes. Before the pump will activate you need to enter an amount for your fuel purchase. Simply enter an estimated dollar amount that you think will cover the amount of fuel you require. The pump will shut off automatically when your pre-entered amount is reached.
What if I fill with less fuel than my pre-authorised amount? Just say your estimated fuel spend is $60 but you can only fit $50 worth of fuel in your tank. As U-GO payments are pre-authorised, your card will show a charge of $60, but the $10 difference will be released to your account within 1 to 7 business days. Should this time be exceeded, you should contact your card issuer. Remember you will only be charged for what you fill.
Rest assured that this is a normal part of how pre authorised transactions work with most banks. While you may see several transactions on your statement, know that you will only be charged for what you fill.
After your visit your transaction statement may look like this:

The first charge is the Pre authorisation amount – This often appears as the first charge, it’s the initial amount you have selected at the pump, your bank will place a temporary hold on this amount to confirm funds were available at the time of your purchase.
The second charge is the reversal or Cancellation – After your actual fuel purchase was completed, the pre authorised amount was either reversed or cancelled. Depending on your bank, this may appear as a credit or a second debit.
And the final charge you see is the amount for the fuel you actually dispensed, and this is the only amount you will be charged. While it may look like you’ve been charged multiple times, the final transaction is the real charge, the other entries are temporary and will either disappear or be corrected by your bank.
This process, called authorisation reversal, this is common with credit and debit cards when the final transaction amount differs from the preauthorised hold.
Rest assured, you won’t be charged twice, you will only be charged for the fuel dispensed. What appears to be a duplicate charge is usually a preauthorisation hold placed by your bank to verify your payment method.
Sometimes it may be clear that the charge is pending but depending on your bank, it might appear alongside the actual transaction on your statement like the example below.

This preauthorisation hold is temporary and will be automatically released by your bank, typically within 1-7 business days by most major banks.
If the pending charge has not clear after that time, reach out to your bank for more information. Remember you’ll only be charged for what you fill.

Our fuel pumps are National Measurement Institute (NMI) approved and are calibrated and verified by NMI accredited servicing contractors so you can be assured that you receive the correct amount of fuel that you have paid for.
The fuel pump progressively slows down as the amount approaches your pre-authorised limit to ensure your limit is not exceeded.
